He began his career directing and editing television productions for major broadcasters including MTV, Nickelodeon, Mediaset, Sky and Discovery. Over the years, he has directed multi-camera shows, live broadcasts, branded content, documentaries and entertainment formats, working across Italy and internationally.
Throughout his career he has collaborated with internationally renowned artists such as Moby, Bob Geldof, Editors and Backstreet Boys. Among his most notable projects are the live productions of ROCKIN’1000, the world’s largest rock band, directing performances at Stade de France in Paris and Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt in front of tens of thousands of spectators. Alongside his television work, Gandini has increasingly focused on documentary filmmaking and long-form storytelling. His documentary “Out Of The Cave” explores themes of self-awareness, transformation and personal growth. Inspired by Plato’s Allegory of the Cave and Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey, the film combines philosophy, spirituality and nature into a visually immersive experience and has received multiple international awards. He is also the Editorial Director and Creative Lead of the Festival della Consapevolezza, one of Italy’s leading events dedicated to the dialogue between science, philosophy, spirituality and personal growth. He oversees the festival’s editorial vision, content development, digital communication and live event production, helping transform complex ideas into meaningful experiences for both live and online audiences.
Driven by a passion for storytelling, Christian has expanded his work into screenwriting and format development. He studied screenwriting at the London Film Academy and has trained with internationally renowned storytellers including Academy Award-winning writer and director Paul Haggis and acclaimed screenwriting teacher Robert McKee. He is currently developing original documentary, television and scripted projects, including his first long-form original drama series.
